Supporting Foster Families

The Department of Children’s Services is under strain. Tennessee must make recruiting and retaining qualified caseworkers a priority by limiting caseloads, reducing burnout, and allowing frontline workers to focus on children instead of mountains of paperwork.

We must also cut the red tape that makes it harder for families to foster or adopt. Every child deserves a safe and stable environment, and we can deliver that by streamlining the process, so they reach permanent homes sooner.

Through transparency and accountability, we can ensure DCS operates efficiently and follows best practices, which keeps the physical and emotional well-being of Tennessee’s most vulnerable children a top priority.
